I had originally purchased a 40 ft cord from Home Depot and it worked well but just wasn’t long enough to be connected into the generator outlet that I installed at the side of my house. I needed to run a line from the side of my house to the back where the generator will be located, so I needed a longer 30 am Gen Extension cord. It shipped quickly and when it did arrive I then fired up my brand new Champion generator for the first time and utilize this cord to make the connection from the generator to the outdoor gen outlet at the side of my house… and that was directly feeding a breaker in my panel. So when I did this, everything worked like a charm and all the lights and necessary power outlets, plus my AC unit, came on and worked great… I ran it for it until the gas in the generator ran out and again everything ran like a charm and the extension cord did not heat up or anything. This was the only time that I used the cord but when/if I need it again, I’m confident that it will be fine at that time as well. NOTE: It’s a bit heavy… so just be aware… but they do also supply a device for wrapping the cord with a handle for carrying it as well as a carrying bag. So all and all, it was a very good experience so far with this gen power cord.

Bought this to connect my generator to my home via a Reliance PB30. The cable seems well made and the end molding is good. The cable itself is very flexible. My issue is with the female end connection to the Reliance PB30. It is not very snug and I feel like it would vibrate loose. The contact points in the end of the cable don’t seem to have very much grip. In other words, its like a wall socket in your house that an electric cord won’t stay plugged into. The male end fits very snugly into my generator socket though.
