This is one heavy duty paper cutter. With the exception of one item, it is all heavy metal construction.THE GOOD:Well built.Easy to assemble. Two reviewers complained that there were no assembly instructions. The User’s Guide included with my purchase explained assembly, which only took a few minutesExcellent cutting quality.THE NOT-SO-GOODThe one piece of the cutter that is not metal is a green plastic something-or-other with two small magnets embedded in it. It is not mentioned in the list of parts, so I can only guess that it is the “blade catcher” mentioned in the User’s Manual. The green “blade catcher” (or whatever) was broken into two pieces when the cutter arrived. There was no damage to the box that the cutter was in, so I assume that the green thing was broken during the original packing at the factory. The User’s Manual discusses a red plastic “cutting stick” and says that it can used eight times. However, it does not clarify if that means 8 single uses or just that it can be rotated into eight different positions as needed. All in all, an OK product.

I haven’t really had the chance to put it to the test because it was difficult to assemble. it comes with parts, tools and a booklet but there are no instructions about how to put it together. right now I cant figure out how to attach the wheel to the rest of the guillotine. its on but it doesn’t work well without a lot of struggle. it seems sturdy but am not sure how easy it will be to use.
